MTD-1024 DMX Issues

Hello!!

I am currently using the MTD-1024 with a Midi Captain Midi pedal

trying to control 8 UKing DMX 7 Channel 36 LED Par Lights.

I can get one light to light but it doesn't always light with the expected color. For instance, I set the Midi Captain and the MTD-1024 to communicate on Midi Ch. 2. I setup the Midi Captain and the 1024 to use CCs. I set the first light to receive on DMX Ch 1-7.

I set the Midi Captain to send a command to the 1024 for Control Change 2, which should trigger the MTD-1024 to Send DMX Command DMX Ch2 to the first light which should light RED!!

Sometimes it will work, other times it won't even come on and other times it comes on with the wrong color????

But, then, I try to get the second light to work and it reacts the same way!!

This is not my first experience with Midi and DMX, but it is the first time that I have tried to run DMX with a Midi Controller.

My goal is to hopefully be able to press one switch on the Midi Captain and have it send commands to the MTD-1024 to Turn On All 8 Lights with the Same Color, In other word, 8 Red Lights, 8 Blue Lights, 8 Green Lights...etc....

Also to be able to program chase scenes with all 8 lights flashing different colors....

Again, I am not sure any of this is possible, but I hope it can be accomplished. I am trying to find a simple way to run all my lights for a band project without the use of a laptop and expensive lighting controllers.
