MR-1 PoE

I was looking for a device that connects to a router via ethernet cable and has a MIDI 5pin DIN output port. This was so that I could use my ipad to send MIDI wirelessly to my router and have it send MIDI to an older connected device with a 5pin DIN input.

iPad>>wirelessly to>>wireless router>>ethernet port>>LAN to MIDI node like the MR-1>>DigiTech StudioQuad 5pin DIN in

I know lots about networking and I would set the MR-1 to static IP so that DHCP doesn't change the IP address and drop connection.

Is this the device I am looking for?

I am skeptical of purchasing it because it is not clear as to whether this fits my scenario.
