USB MIDI HOST (UMH-10)：

Q: Is the UMH-10 compatible with xx products? Can xx products be used?

A: If there is this model in the compatibility table, the reply can be used.(UMH-10)

If there is no such model in the compatibility table, then to the following:

① First of all, the MIDI five-pin interface of UMH-10 is compatible with the MIDI five-pin interface of all musical instruments.

② In addition, please confirm whether the computer needs to install the USB driver when connecting your instrument's USB port to the computer. (that is, to determine whether it is a class complaint USB device)

If the computer does not need to install a USB driver, the UMH-10 can be used. If the computer needs to install a USB driver, it means that your instrument is not a class complaint USB device, and the UMH-10 may not be used. It is recommended that you buy UMH-21, this product supports firmware upgrade, similar to installing USB drivers.

Q: Can the USB HOST interface supply power to USB MIDI instruments?

A: Power can be supplied, but pay attention to whether the power input power of "POWER IN" can meet the working requirements of USB MIDI instruments.

Q: USB HOST interface does not work

  • Make sure the power indicator of "POWER IN" is on;
  • Make sure the instrument is working properly and that the USB interface of the instrument is MIDI capable (for example, the connection

  • Try to power the product through "POWER IN" first, then connect to the instrument through "USB HOST" and see "USB HOST"whether the indicator light is on.

Q: MIDI OUT/IN interface does not work

Q: What is the difference between UMH-21 and UMH-10

  • USB version is different, UMH-21 is high-speed USB2.0, better compatibility, faster communication speed, UMH-10 is full-speed,USB1.1 interface.
  • UMH-21 supports firmware upgrade, compatible with more old or special USB MIDI instruments, UMH-10 does not support firmware,software upgrade.

  • UMH-21 supports connecting to a USB hub, up to 4 USB MIDI instruments can be connected, UMH-10 can only be connected to one USB MIDI instrument.

  • UMH-21 supports the MERGE function of USB HOST+MIDI IN→MIDI OUT, but UMH-10 does not.
