Hi Doremidi people! Could you help me with this?
Subject: DOREMiDi MPC-20 / Roland RPU-3: Settings not saving and MIDI stream blocked in V4.0.0
Hardware: DOREMiDi MPC-20 (Pedal Converter)
Pedals: Roland RPU-3
Firmware: V2.0.5 (Latest)
Software: Pedal Config Tool V4.0.0
The Issue:
I cannot get my MPC-20 to work with the V4.0.0 software. The hardware is recognized, but it is impossible to actually use or configure the device:
- Not Saving: Every time I try to save settings (assigning CC 64, 66, 67), the "Set" button triggers a firmware update popup.
- Even after clicking OK, no data is saved to the device. It keeps showing the last modified values (like CC 21) but never actually updates the hardware.
- No MIDI Output: There is barely to no live MIDI data coming through in the software. The "Check" button is completely unresponsive and the MIDI monitor stays dead.
- Contrast with Older Versions: While V4.0.0 is essentially "dead" in terms of communication, older versions (V2.2) work perfectly, showing a fast, fluid, and continuous data stream from the RPU-3 pedals.
The Goal:
I need the MPC-20 to actually save my settings and output MIDI data in V4. How do I fix this communication breakdown so the device becomes functional?
Thank you!
