Hi everyone
I started using my digital piano (kwai kdp120) connected to a laptop with VST. The problem is, I want the midi signal from the piano to go to the laptop and a tablet for sheet reading. My piano has only 1 midi usb out. So i was searching for a way to solve. I stumbled across 2 Doremidi devices
1 Doremidi DUH-10, it has 2 usb host ports, and one is capable of usb hub, so I was thinking to connect one end to the digital piano, and the other 2 with the usb hub to the laptop and tablet.
2 Doremidi UMH-21, this converts usb midi to din midi. after that I could connect DIN midi to the audio card (so the laptop would have midi) and then the midi thru of the audio card to the tablet via a MIDI to USB cable. the second solution is cheaper, but more prone to latency I think cause there are more jump and failure points. (piano to UMH21 to audio card to midi to usb cable to tablet). the problem is, I don't understand if the DUH-10 (the first one), can do 1 USB MIDI HOST IN to 2 USB MIDI OUT (one for laptop and one for tablet). Also do these cable and adapter chains, introduce latency in the playing?
